Dublin Council Launches Disability Cost Consultation Affecting Household Budgets

Dublin City Council’s Department of Social Protection has opened a public consultation on the Cost of Disability. The process asks residents for opinions on the agenda and format of the initiative, which focuses on expenses that directly influence household budgets across the city.

Public consultations on local issues have opened at a time when many Dublin households manage ongoing costs for daily living. The Cost of Disability consultation provides one channel for input on how such expenses are considered in policy development.

Input on Disability Costs and Daily Expenses

Residents can contribute views on the agenda and format for the Cost of Disability work. This allows discussion of items such as additional outlays for care, equipment or transport that form part of many local household budgets. The consultation is designed to gather these perspectives before further steps are taken.

The Land Development Agency has also launched a public consultation for Phase 2 of Clongriffin Central. Designs are presented for feedback ahead of statutory planning, giving residents a route to comment on development that could influence housing and related expenses in the area.

Submissions on the Cost of Disability consultation remain open for residents to provide their input on the agenda and format. The outcomes are projected to guide the Department of Social Protection as it develops the initiative further.
